A Reflection of The Year that Was

The past few months I have been quiet about my situation. I needed to make a very important but crucial decision in my life. A decision that will make a drastic change in my life. I am thankful though as I have my ever supporting family and friends who made sure I will get through this crisis with my head up high.

One lesson I have learned though is that life is all about the choices that we make. No matter how we plan our future, there will always be circumstances along the way, and in the end, we will eventually need to decide which road we want to take. I admit that there would be times when I would just question God- WHY ME? But then, I would later realize, He knows what is good for me and all this is a part of his beautiful plan for me.

I have seen how He has worked wonders with my life. Everything just fell into place. I could feel He was there to guide me on that very day I made a very major decision. He provided me with a new job that kept me busy. Something that would distract me from what has been happening around me and just leave me with no time to feel alone and think about what has happened. For that I am so thankful.

When I got home, I was glad to finally see my brother Mark and his family, who I have not seen for 3 years. We also got busy planning the wedding of my brother Mike and Shiena. We went out several times to make the most of the time that Mark and his family were staying here in Davao. It was such a fun Christmas. Very different from the one I spent back in the US. I felt the love and happiness.

The year is about to end, and I am aware how some people have spread nasty rumors about me. In the end, I am sure they will regret what they have done. The stories people fabricate to cover for their mistakes will be only have a short term effect. Life is like a wheel they say. It keeps turning... you may be up there right now.. but take note the time will come when it will be your turn to be on the ground.
