Have you heard the news? It was published in the Technews Section of Manila Bulletin last Jan 26, 2009. If things will push through, several bloggers and people getting their income from blogs, as well as people working for clients who have blogs (just like me) will need to get a license just to blog!
Of course everyone working for Outsourcing companies will sure be affected, from the web developers, programmers, link builders, writers, and virtual assistants. What is the Philippine government trying to do? Instead of helping Filipinos become productive by keeping their jobs and earning through pay per posts in blogs, they are instead pulling the Filipino people down.
I don't know how you guys might react to this news but I am definitely against it. Maybe the government should think not just twice.. thrice.. but several times! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this will not be approved.

Definitely I too won't agree on this. I am just a neophyte to this area. I still need to learn. If there is license involve, the government could also earn out from the earnings of the people who just made this out of their hobby or shall we say some of the bloggers earn thousands of peso but it was out of intellectual property....
We have been burdened with so many taxes na...if ever madayon ning plano nila, I'm sure there would be "Bloggy revolution". I for one would hit them!
~*Cheers & warm regards *~
